prevent damage to URD facilities in flood
prone areas from tides, heavy rain, or storm
surge. The Flood Safe functions from
air-tight construction on 5 sides - Using the
rising water to seal the bottom. This creates
an air pocket around the transformer and
connections, keeping the transformer and
connections DRY, which increases Public
Safety by minimizing the chance of water
making contact with energized parts in a
flood situation.
